Center for Resource Solutions Welcomes Peggy Kellen as Policy Director

Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) is pleased to announce that Peggy Kellen has joined the organization as Policy Director, where she leads state-level sustainable energy policy engagement; supports regional, federal, and international policy; and provides technical assistance. In this role, she helps develop strategic objectives, builds relationships, educates stakeholders, advocates for sound policy, and directly engages in rulemaking proceedings.

As the former Director of Policy at The Climate Registry, Peggy brings over ten years of experience designing renewable energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting policies and contributing to stakeholder engagement efforts for the electric power, energy efficiency, water, transportation, and oil and gas sectors. She is recognized as a leader in GHG accounting and has advised on the GHG reporting and verification requirements for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the American National Standards Institute, the states of California and Massachusetts, the Western Climate Initiative, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Royal Thai Government.

"Peggy will serve an essential role for CRS as the organization continues to grow," said Jennifer Martin, CRS Executive Director. "We are delighted to add her deep experience, knowledge, and leadership to our efforts to grow renewable energy markets and maximize the impact of clean energy policy and voluntary environmental actions."

Previously, Peggy directed The Climate Registry's carbon footprint reporting and verification policies, promoted national residential energy efficiency campaigns for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, supported U.S. EPA's ENERGY STAR Homes program, and developed congressional guidance reports on key energy issues for the Consumer Energy Council of America. She has an M.A. in Energy and Environmental Analysis from Boston University and a B.A. in Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California.
