BaxEnergy Strengthens Leadership Team with Strategic Appointments for Global Growth
BaxEnergy, a leading provider of renewable energy management solutions, announces the appointment of Roberto Tundo as Executive Vice President, and Marco Cecconi as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). These strategic leadership changes reinforce the company’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and global expansion, while further enabling the energy transition through software solutions.
Roberto Tundo, who has served as BaxEnergy’s Chief Technology officer since November 2024, has been instrumental in shaping the company's technological vision following its acquisition by Yokogawa Electric Corporation. With a career spanning over 30 years, he is recognized for pioneering advancements in energy innovation, digital transformation, and cleantech. His leadership at multinational organizations - including Enel, Alitalia, Terna, Olivetti, and Ferrovie dello Stato - has driven major initiatives in smart grid modernisation, AI-driven analytics, and renewable energy integration.
In his new role of Executive Vice President, Tundo will oversee the BaxEnergy’s global expansion strategy, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive strategic partnerships to accelerate growth. He will guide the evolution of the company’s solutions suite, ensuring they remain industry-leading across all renewable energy technologies.
Marco Cecconi, formerly Chief Research & Development Officer at BaxEnergy, steps into the role of CTO, further reinforcing BaxEnergy’s technological leadership while retaining oversight of the R&D team. Cecconi, a seasoned expert in agile enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and cloud-based solutions, has a proven track record in scaling software solutions for the renewable energy sector. Before joining BaxEnergy in 2023, he founded Intelligent Hack and held senior technology leadership roles at Toptal and Stack Overflow.
At BaxEnergy, Cecconi has led a team of 50 engineers, developers, and designers, driving advancements in software performance, security, and usability. As CTO, he will oversee the company’s technology strategy, software development, and IT architecture, ensuring BaxEnergy remains at the forefront of scalable, secure, and efficient energy management solutions.
