Prysmian Announces Leadership Changes at Du Quoin Plant

Prysmian, a world leader in the energy transition and digital transformation, is pleased to announce the following leadership changes at its Du Quoin, Illinois plant:

  • Plant Director Erik Perks has been promoted to Engineering Team Lead  
  • Rupert Miller was named Plant Director effective March 18, 2025.

Erik PerksPerks (pictured left) boasts an 18-year tenure highlighted by significant contributions to the organization, and those skills will serve him well as he leads, mentors, and supports engineering teams across multiple Prysmian plants. In his new role, Perks will take the lead in managing capital investments for the Industrial and Construction and Specialty plants, while maintaining leadership involvement in Du Quoin projects.

Rupert MillerMiller (pictured right) joins Prysmian from Oregon Tool, where he served as the General Manager for the Woods Division. He has also served in plant management roles for Lennox International, Trinity Industries, Inc., Micron Industries Corporation, and MATCOR Metal Fabrication. He received an Associates degree from Henry Ford College and a Bachelors from the University of Minnesota.

“Erik’s technical record and passion for wire and cable will drive ongoing success as our North America engineering team continues to grow, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome Rupert as our newest plant leader,” said Joe Brown, Prysmian North American Manufacturing Area VP. “The combined talents of these two individuals will deliver success for our customers and elevate our plants to new heights of excellence.”

Prysmian’s Du Quoin plant has more than 300 employees and produces cables for the renewable energy and electric vehicle sectors. A $64 million expansion project in 2023 added more than 100,000 square feet of new manufacturing space in addition to seven major pieces of equipment.
