Statement from ZETA Executive Director Albert Gore in Response to President Donald Trump’s Speech to the Joint Session of Congress

“From unleashing our nation’s critical mineral and material production to spurring a new age of American advanced manufacturing, President Trump outlined a domestic policy agenda that aligns with the electric vehicle and battery supply chain industry’s conviction that we all benefit from American workers building the next generation of automobiles and transportation infrastructure here at home.

“The U.S. electric vehicle industry has already created more than 240,000 jobs, and investments across the entire electric vehicle and battery supply chain will generate hundreds of thousands more jobs across the country for American workers in the coming years. 

“We look forward to working with the Trump administration to deliver a domestic manufacturing policy environment that enables the United States to remain the world’s automotive economic powerhouse for years to come.”
