Sungrow Americas Partners with American Red Cross and Feeding America on Hurricane Helene Relief
Sungrow Americas, a leading provider of solar and battery energy storage solutions, has announced an initial donation of $25,000 each to the American Red Cross and Feeding America to aid communities affected by Hurricane Helene. Recognizing the urgent need for support, Sungrow’s contribution marks the first step in a larger, ongoing commitment to strengthening and supporting local communities over the long term. Sungrow has also encouraged its 255 U.S.-based employees to join in these efforts through individual contributions.
The funds will be directed toward providing essential resources such as food, shelter, and emergency supplies to those impacted by the storm.

The American Red Cross is providing critical resources such as hot meals, shelter, hygiene items, and Wi-Fi access in community centers. Meanwhile, Feeding America is distributing emergency food supplies and relief boxes across its network of food banks, with 165 truckloads of food and water reaching affected areas in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolinas, and more. Food banks in unaffected regions have also mobilized staff, vehicles, and food resources to support affected communities.
These contributions are part of Sungrow’s continued collaboration with nonprofits to boost climate resiliency and help vulnerable communities in the regions it serves.
“At Sungrow, we believe that supporting communities in times of crisis is not only our responsibility but also a vital part of our commitment to making a positive impact,” said Hank Wang, President of Sungrow Americas. “This $25,000 contribution is just the beginning. We are committed to continuing our support for local communities in the coming months and years, helping to build resilience and provide resources where they are most needed.”
Sungrow is dedicated to fostering partnerships with impactful organizations to enhance the well-being of the communities it serves. Future plans include additional donations, community engagement programs, and sustained support for climate resiliency initiatives.
In addition to immediate disaster relief, Sungrow’s long-term community support strategy aligns with its sustainability mission. As part of the RE100 initiative, Sungrow has pledged to source 100% renewable electricity by 2028, further underscoring its commitment to combating climate change and supporting communities facing its impacts.
